Today in CLL we had circle time to discuss the life cycle of a chick 🐣 and what differences we have noticed over the past 5 days. The children were able to explain and understand that the chick came from the eggs which were in the incubator. The children have also noticed that the chicks have got more fluffy( this is because they’re out of their shell and their fur is now dry). Now they’re in the brooder box, the chicks need food and water to keep them healthy and alive. With all of these fantastic facts the children have learnt, we have also learnt that some eggs sadly do not make it out of the shell and turn into a chick. This sadly happened with one of our eggs.
The children were sat so beautifully on the carpet during the input each child had the exciting opportunity to hold the 3 day old chick. What an amazing experience!
