To celebrate the end of SATS and recognise the children’s hard work, the Year 6 children were invited to take part in a game of Laser Tag before visiting Play Towers and enjoying a huge pizza feast! Thank you for your hard work this Year 6 – a job well done.
As part of our R.E topic, Christianity, we visited our local church. We walked there and made sure we followed the instructions of our teachers. When we arrived we all were amazed at how big the church was and how beautiful the windows are. We then had a talk by Rev Vickers he explained the different parts of the church and we had to look for different representations of the cross, we found 10 just by looking at the front of the church. We had a tour of the church and we went right up to the highest seats, it was scary but we all enjoyed the view.
As part of our fundraising for Red Nose Day 2017, the children had the opportunity to vote which teacher they would like to see gunged! Five brave teachers were nominated. Mr Perrin, Mr Martin, Mr Roark, Mr Newton and Mr Prigent. The ‘unlucky’ winner was Mr Martin who raised a grand total of nearly £43.00. The children clapped and cheered to see the gunge tipped from a height over Mr Martin’s head.
