Return to School Dates and Information
Dear Parents / Carers,
We look forward to welcoming you all as schools re-open to further pupils and would like to ensure we provide you with regular information on the updates and changes taking place. We have recently published a school letter detailing the current processes in place so please visit our communication platform, Weduc. The letter details everything you need to know but please find below the times and return dates for the year groups re-joining Park Academy.
Key Timings
Reception – 8th June 2020
Start time: 8:50am End time: 2:30pm
Year 1 – 10th June 2020
Start time: 9:15am End time: 3:00pm
Year 6 – 15th June 2020
Start time: 9:00am End time: 3:15pm
Please be aware that entry to school will now be via the car park and there will be marked zones to be used when dropping off and picking up.
Adults will not be able to drop children at classroom doors. The drop off and pick up points for children are as follows
Drop off and Collection
Reception: Wait on Key Stage One playground – staff will collect children from the wooden fence. Families to leave using the pedestrian gate.
Year 1: Wait on Key Stage One playground – staff will collect children from the wooden fence. Families to leave using the pedestrian gate.
Year 6: Wait in car park in front of the main entrance, families to leave using the exit near the bike sheds. Staff will collect children from the car park.
Key Workers: Through the main front door – adults to wait outside with children, and not on the front entrance until the member of staff collects them.
On Friday, School will need to close after lunch to allow a deep clean of the whole premises to be carried out, so that the school can be in a position to open again effectively on the following Monday. With this in mind, finish times on a Friday will be as follows:
Reception – 12.00 pm
Year 1 – 12.30 pm
Year 6 – 1.00 pm
Key Workers – 1.00 pm
Children will have their lunch before they leave.
Key notices
Each child will have their temperature taken by a member of staff before entering the school. If the temperature is above 37.8 degrees, the child will not be permitted entry into school and will need to be taken home.
All children, regardless of previous permission to walk home alone, must be accompanied by an adult when dropping off and being collected from school.
