Yesterday, the children in Reception enjoyed learning about Chinese New Year. We firstly found out about the celebration, learning that the colour red is important as it brings good luck. We then watched a video to see how Chinese New Year is celebrated, we loved the colourful Chinese Dragon’s!
After, we tried some different chinese foods. The children did so well as they demonstrated willingness in trying the different foods! The spring rolls, noodles and prawn crackers were a firm favourite, with some children liking the sweet chilli sauce! The children filled in their forms after tasting each food to record if they liked it or not.
What a busy but enjoyable afternoon!
