Zebras class enjoying their Spanish lesson last week with a numbers game – lots of actions to perform depending on the number called.
Sharks class busy working on multiplication and division problems using concrete objects to help them. Well done Sharks, a good understanding is developing. Keep up the good work.
A lovely afternoon was had at St Botolph’s Church. All of the children were well behaved and asked some brilliant questions.
In guided reading some of Wolves class are reading the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. In the story the White Witch gives Edmund some Turkish Delight, some of the children had never tasted that delicacy. So we tasted some, not sure everybody was too keen !
An excellent visit to the Mosque to have an insight into the Islamic way of life. Year 5 were very well behaved ; the Imam was very impressed with their interest and questioning. Well done Year 5
Giraffe Class made Diya lamps to develop their understanding of the Hindu festival of Diwali. The children learnt that Diwali symbolises the spiritual “victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance”.
Children from our after school gardening club took part in a spot of den building after checking on the progress of the seeds they have planted in the poly tunnel. Great team work from the children who were very proud of their efforts!
Year 5 children had an exciting day recently, when they journeyed back in time to discover what life was like during the time of the Vikings. The children spent the day: den making, grinding flour and making a traditional pendant.
A fantastic and informative assembly today from Google regarding online safety. Our KS2 children are internet legends who know how to be safe and confident explorers on the online world
