Class of 2019 Prom

Thank you Year 6 for embracing the Neon themed prom. Looking smart as always and partying on the dance floor was a fantastic way to celebrate the end of the year. Your work has been amazing and you’ve really made Park Academy proud. Enjoy your last 3 days!

Some of our Year 5 children took part in Bikeability, a cycling safety course. All children passed – well done!

Unfortunately, nothing lasts forever. Our Year 6 spent this morning having sessions on the RoadHog bus to understand how normal it is to feel nervous moving schools and discussing ways to prepare for secondary school. Well done all – 11 days left seems unbelievable.

The NSPCC attended Park Academy today to educate pupils on the importance of staying safe and giving them the knowledge that speaking out is a difficult but important first step. Following this, they delivered an informative workshop on how to monitor online activity to keep our pupils safe. Thank you to all those who attended.

Linked to their fantastic work during their topic ‘Enchanted Forest’, Year 1 built dens, created fire and explored all things nature and eco-friendly. Great day out and a great learning experience.

Just some fantastic work to show following our continuing focus on British Values. Today looked at how we all have the right to live and be given rights that protect us and help us to thrive.

Well done to our amazing Year 6 during their time at PGL. The challenges were scary but you rose to the challenge. Working together as a team, you made rafts, buggies, abseiled, climbed and pushed yourselves to try new things. Fantastic levels of confidence shown – you should be very proud.

To see how beliefs vary and the importance of mutual respect and tolerance, Year 3 visited a Cathedral. A great learning experience and fantastic community.

To celebrate the end of their topic on the Romans, Year 4 designed Roman shields, banners and more. A celebration of their hard work and learning. You looked like one huge army!
