Children in Need 2018

Park Academy children, staff, parents and carers took part in another successful year fundraising for Children in Need.  Parents and carers attended a fantastic bake sale after school and children helped to create a Pudsey in pennies. Well done to all!

Parents and carers of Year 1 pupils recently attended a phonics café. Whilst there, parent and carers listened to a brief talk on phonics, detailing what phonics are and how we teach the children to use these skills in learning to read and write. Parents were given the opportunity to play and learn phonics games with their children whilst enjoying a bacon sandwich and a hot beverage.

Our Year 4 Dodgeball team came a fantastic third place during a recent Dodgeball Tournament. The children showed great sportsmanship and team effort. Well done!

Park Academy children and staff made a beautiful and thought provoking display along the school perimeter to mark the 100th anniversary of the ending of the First World War. Each child’s hand was used to symbolise poppies ranging from our Reception children through to Year 6 – We Shall Remember them.
