This week, Park Academy took part in a football competition with neighbouring schools. Both our Y3/4 team and Y5/6 team played incredibly hard in their games and in our Year 5/6 game achieved an amazing second place, we missed out on winning first place by only 1 point!
Year 3 stepped back in time to the Stone Age during our visit to Flag Fen. We arrived and were greeted by our guides Chris and Claire. We then spent the day looking at and investigating the site. We had the chance to make our own pots out of clay and also sorted different artefacts into the right time period. We walked around the grounds and found out what life was like for the men and women of the Stone Age. Our last activity was a story in the round house around a fire which we all listened to intently. We had a fantastic time and will be booking in for next year too!
On Monday 2nd October, children, staff and families went to the Centenary Church to celebrate our Harvest Festival. We were overwhelmed by the generous donations of fruit and vegetables from parents and carers. Pupils took turns in performing to the congregation either a song, poem and a display on food. The celebration ended with the entire school singing a harvest song lead by our music teachers. Well done to our all pupil and teachers!
